1st Day of School

Today has been a great day! McKenzie and Logan both started school and we all couldn't be happier! McKenzie is in 2nd grade and is really happy about the teacher she got. She was up bright and early this morning at 6am and wanting to get on the bus. Unfortunately for her she had to wait an hour and a half. I can't believe she is already in 2nd grade. It just seems like yesterday that she was starting Kindergarten herself. She is such a cute girl and I am really excited to see how much she changes and grows this year! This was our favorite outfit we bought so of course she had to wear it today. She is just so darn cute! McKenzie also started her first day of dance today. She decided she wanted to be on the competition team this year so she will have 2 practices a week and then go to a few competitions in the Spring. We have had a really good summer together and we are becoming very good friends. I love her more than anything and am so glad that she is finding things she can enjoy and develop a talent for!

Logan was VERY excited to go to school today! I CAN'T believe my little buddy is in Kindergarten. I am having a harder time with Logan going off to school because I like to always remember him as being my little boy that wants to "touch you toes" and snuggle. McKenzie has always been so independent that she was glad to get out of the house! I try to overlook the fact that he is going off to school and doesn't think mom is very cool. :) Today I rode the bus with him to school so he would know exactly what to do when he gets there tomorrow and so we waited out on the lawn for the bus and my allergies were going crazy so my eyes were watering. He looked at me and said " Mom are you crying... that's so embarrassing" HA HA HA! Logan kills me! He thought the bus was okay and is glad that Kenzie will be riding home with him tomorrow. I am also very excited to see what this year brings for Logan. I never wanted to be one of those mom's that was glad to see their kids go back to school in the fall, but I have to tell you... it isn't half bad! :)

CUTE! CUTE! CUTE! Thanks for riding the bus with us today and for hanging out with us during the 1st day of kindergarten. It was great and I am excited to watch Brinlee and Logan learn and grow. He is such a great little fella! Love the pics of your kids. They are darling. I need to figure out how to do cool things with my camera. You are amazing! Happy day for you!

I am so glad that you are one of those moms who enjoys this! I wish we lived closer so that could rub off on me. Hopefully I will ease into it sooner than later!:)

Those are great pictures!!! I can't believe you road the school bus with Logan. I would have died with embarassment. And yet, made myself sick over worry because I dind't know what to do or where to go all by myself. Your kids are getting too old, I think you should have another one. Give it to me... I need some babies.
