Big Day

It has been a great day here at our house! First of all... the kids are finally going to church. I have decided that I shouldn't lock them inside the house since I have to be and it is only fair if someone gets a little religion. Drew informed me that I will be taking them to church the sunday after conference so I had "better start looking for something that fits me now". I guess that excuse only works so many times. Sad for me and my body... :(

Anyways, I was doing McKenzie's hair this morning and she was wiggling her tooth and I told her to pull that thing out and so she did. So that's 4 down and 16 to go!!!

So now we can be singing "All I want for my BIRTHDAY are my two front teeth" It's a good thing we don't eat corn on the cob around this house. GROSS! She was pretty proud of herself that she pulled it out and she got her money ready to pay tithing IN ADVANCE because the tooth fairy is pretty consistent with what she pays. She is so sweet and great and we LOOOVVVEEE her.

Then there was Tate. The cutest little red head there ever was! He loves to get dressed and is especially thinking the blow dryer is cool these days. SOOO... I sprayed his hair and blew it dry and did a little flat top. It doesn't work very well for his hair because it grows straight forward, but his new habit of putting hands in his pockets is too cute and makes up for any bad hair day. What a goof...

Chayse

I just love putting up pictures! I try not to get too carried away but they change so fast and I even like going back through my blog looking at the things I have written and pictures I have put up. Chayse was just looking so cute laying on my bed I couldn't resist these pictures. She is doing AWESOME and just gets cuter everyday.

On a side note I had a BAD morning today! For those of you who may not know, I am pumping and not nursing. So far it hasn't been so bad considering I don't ever leave the house and probably won't for a few more weeks with Chayse. Anyways, as I was "unloading" my gallons (at least it feels like it) I set the baggie on the bed to get something and as I did that I thought to myself " I REALLY should seal that up so it doesn't spill" Well imagine what happened next... IT SPILLED ALL OVER THE BED AND ME! Not only was I totally ticked off because now I had to wash sheets and change BUT I had just spent the last half hour of my life doing something for NOTHING and it is gross to have breastmilk all over you. Drew of course found it to be hysterical because I was so irritated and he made some dumb comment like "now the kids wouldn't have milk for their morning cereal" He is so weird!

The Sweetest Boy I Know!

Logan is the greatest big brother EVER! I never in a million years would have guessed that Logan would attach himself to Chayse the way he has. He is so loving and good to her. Every morning he comes in and asks me where the germ-x is so he can "do stuff" with Chayse. He is always asking to hold her and kisses her and wants to help me in any way he can. Chayse is just fitting so perfectly in our family! It seems as though she is pretty lucky to have a big brother like Logan who will take care of her forever!

Finally!

After several MONTHS of a loose tooth we finally got McKenzie's tooth OUT! Drew pulled nearly as hard as he could to get it to come out but it did and we couldn't be happier! McKenzie was stunned when it came out and had a few tears, but they were soon gone because she knew the tooth fairy would be coming!!! Well, the tooth fairy has been a little tired lately and so her husband did the collecting of teeth that night. What a nice guy! Well anyways, that next morning when McKenzie got up and came to show me what she had received and she had 92 cents and some pesos. HAAAAHAAA! Apparently while digging in the change drawer he didn't think to look and count what he was giving. We just told her that she must have gotten some teeth from Mexico that night and that is why she had Pesos in her pocket!!! She is so cute. Now we have 2 more loose teeth. YEAH!

Nothing cuter...

I can't say I have seen anything cuter than this lately!!!!

Bears are cool...

Tate loves to growl and he always has. Lately he gets so into it he turns red and shakes. Tonight Luke and Brittny came by to visit the baby and Tate was having a great time trying to scare their little one Wyatt. He seriously is the most hysterical little boy I have ever met. He wants to be a big boy so bad and tries to hard to do whatever Logan is doing. He is learning all sorts of new things to say and his latest as of this week is "You're MEAN"!! It is sad that we encourage talk like this, but it is just too cute to hear! We just love the little monster! AND... don't worry too much about his oversize shirt and vest he has on... he is into dressing himself lately. It's a good thing we don't go anywhere!!!

The Little Taco...

I just couldn't resist these pictures because Chayse is so little and scrunches herself so tight in the blanket. I have never been a good "swaddler" and when she was in the NICU the nurses taught me how to wrap her very tight and she loves it! Tate is doing very well having a baby sister around the house and doesn't seem too affected by it. He loves her very much and loves to give kisses. What cute kids right??

Tate turns 2!!!

Just Born...

It is hard to believe Tate is already 2! It has been a very fun filled 2 years with him, that's for sure. Tate is definately our most animated child so far and makes us laugh all the time. He obviously doesn't enjoy people singing to him!!! I am very lucky to be able to share my birthday with such a cute little red head who won't wear anything but BOOTS!

Even more pictures...

Chayse is by far the best baby I have ever had... knock on wood! She sleeps all the time and when she is awake she just looks around and makes the cutest little faces. It is hard to believe just 2 weeks ago she couldn't even breathe on her own. It is amazing what technology and medicine can do. I took her to her follow up appt yesterday and she is gaining weight and doing really well. I have to learn to be strict about hand washing and who comes over because she was running a little fever and blood work shows she has a virus. Fortunately it isn't anything serious, but it just goes to show how weak her immune system is. Three days home and already caught something! SO... if you live by me and want to come and visit... these are the rules until MAY... if you have been sick in the last week, I LOVE YOU- but don't come over! AND the Dr. gave me permission to say to anyone... just don't bother bringing your kids over! ESPECIALLY if they are sick or have been at all in the last YEAR! HA! Even though she looks so healthy and great, her immune system is not. AND don't make fun of me if I make you wash your hands and bust out the germ-x!
She is a complete JOY! and we love her!

SHE'S HOME!!!!

I am very happy to announce that Chayse is home from the hospital! She is doing so well and once again I just have to be grateful for those miserable days in the hospital that we were able to help her lungs develop before she was born! The nurses at EIRMC really are wonderful and made the experience as good as it possibly could be. I don't have any pictures to post, but I will soon. Now the fun begins of having a newborn! HOORAY!

More pictures....

Chayse is doing really well and I am hoping she will be home in the next couple of days. It sure has been a trying time for me... emotionally... but I am just so grateful for my mom being here and all of Pattys help. It has been so nice because Drew has been able to go to the hospital with me several days in a row. He has been so great through all of this and very patient with me and all the many emotions I feel. He is getting very good at giving me a really good hug at just the right time and lets me cry whenever I want. You would think that after every night leaving her it would get easier but in fact it gets much harder.
Chayse is very very very beautiful and for being 10 days old she is really so good. She sleeps a lot and hardly ever makes a peep. She had a good fit yesterday when they had to put her feeding tube back in. It was good to know she has a good set of lungs.

I feel very blessed and I do know that I was prepared for her arrival and she was protected in so many ways. I can't wait for everyone else to meet her because she is just so great!
