Our Little Trooper!!!!

Today has been a great day for Chayse. In the last 24 hours she has made "remarkable" progress according to her doctor and we owe it all to those 2 extra days I didn't deliver. It was enough time for the steroids to take effect and that made all the difference they say. When I was with her today she was able to have her IV removed and is starting to be weaned from her isolet into open air. As long as she can keep her body temperature up she won't have to go back in. Her feedings are going pretty good and she is doing bottle feedings half the time and NG feedings the other half. Not bad for a baby her size... or so they say. The dr. actually told me today that it is very possible for her to be home in a week and I am soooo happy for that. I just can't tell you how much I love her and how beautiful and sweet and precious she is.

Well it has been an eventful couple of weeks here at our house. On Wednesday the 20th my water broke and our little baby was forced into the world on the 22nd. She is technically 7 weeks early, but weighed a good 5 lbs. 5 oz. and was 18 in long. She is in the NICU and will be there for several weeks. She is sooooo beautiful and really is so sweet. I am very grateful she is doing so well and is as healthy as she is all things considered. I will be going to the hospital everyday and staying with her and then spending the evenings with the other kids at home. It is a crazy life, but somehow we will manage. Enjoy the pictures...

Who sleeps on the right side? We are very strange but we switch sides of the bed at least 3 times a week. I guess we aren't particular.

Who mows the lawn? Usually me but if not me than we pay one of Drew's poor employees 10 bucks to do it. HA HA HA!

Who cooks dinner? McDonalds, Wendy's or sometimes me... :)

Who drives? Usually me because he is tired of driving by the time he gets home from work.

Who kissed who first? He stole this first kiss on our FIRST date in front of Ashley Hawkin's apartment and I will never forget because he had on some chapstick or something that was a cherry flavor and I hate that smell.

Who proposed? Him- but if you ask him he will say me. Technically his first proposal was on the was to LAX and he said "so I guess we should just do it" Ummm... okay? Then there was a more official proposal when I went to Idaho for Memorial Day.

Weekend in Cedar City!

Drew and I were lucky enough to sneak away for a few days and go to my very best friend in the whole worlds house in Cedar City. The best part was that we had no kids and were just able to enjoy Bonnie and her family!!! We did so many fun things and Bonnie is such a great hostess! Bonnie- you are the greatest person I could ask for in my life and I love you just like you were my own sister! You are such an incredibly talented person with so many qualities I wish I had! Thank you, thank you, thank you and don't worry... I'll be back!!!

A little update on Tate!

I wish I could get Tate on camera all day every day because he is HYSTERICAL! He still doesn't say very many words, but his personality is so funny. He is trying so hard to be a big kid and keep up with Logan. All day they drive their trucks up and down the hallway making truck sounds and "jumping" them off of my rugs rolled up in the hallway. Everynight Tate thinks he needs to sleep in my bed and he crawls in, shuts the light off, gets the boat (remote... that is what he calls it) and turns the TV on. It is so cute and hard to resist but I quickly remember how much he wiggles and so it isn't hard to coax him into his bed by telling him his horses are waiting for him. Grandma Patty made him a pillow case with horses all over it and he will go to sleep as long as he can rest his head on that. He has the most fascinating interpretation of a horse that I will have to catch on video someday.

Anyways, our little Tate isn't so little anymore but he is just as cute and so much fun. I don't think he has any idea what he is in for with the baby on the way! Poor kid!!!

Logan

Logan has the most incredible pre-school teacher! She is actually Patty's cousin so maybe she is a little biased with how much she just "loves" Logan. She has taught him so many things and he is really, really wanting to learn to read and be as big as McKenzie! Mrs. Jill says that Logan is her big helper and he is always so willing to help the other kids out with tasks that they don't understand as well as he does. Every Thursday is boys show and tell and of course Logan takes a truck or horse or motorbike and sometimes even several but he always makes sure to tell me that the girls NEVER like his show and tell and they are weird. Logan is a very loving and kind little kid with that little streak of naughty he must get from his dad. We sure love him in our family and think he is the smartest, greatest most fun little 4 year old there ever was!
