Making memories...

These past few months have been wild to say the least! It all started back in April when Drew and I went for a drive one Sunday afternoon. Out of the blue we decided... HEY- let's put our house up for sale.... SO WE DID! The end of April we put the sign in the yard and 3 1/2 weeks later we accepted an offer and I started packing. It has been an exciting and crazy process all at the same time. I have learned so many things over the last few weeks that are truly invaluable lessons. The first and most important being to have faith!  The last few weeks while our house has been under contract has been STRESSFUL and BUSY! We have had Logan's birthday. Lagoon trip. Logan's baptism. Memorial Weekend ( WHICH IS ALWAYS THE BUSIEST WEEKEND OF THE YEAR IN ISLAND PARK!!) and of course just life of being mommy with 5 kids.

I can honestly say that through the past 3 weeks we have had more fun than we have had in a long time. Our life feels so crazy and insane but so comfortable all at the same time. McKenzie has been such a huge help. I don't know how I would live this life without her.  This past weekend was AWESOME! Logan chose to be baptized and it was a wonderful day. I was giggling the entire time because he is soooo shy.  He wouldn't look at anyone and was acting so nervous. It was a really special day and the feelings there were wonderful!! We were so lucky to have Jennifer and Jeremy and Brady and Rachael come for the weekend. We always love to be with family and it meant so much to us and to Logan to have people come JUST for him. We have such good friends who always support us and love us also.
Oh isn't he so handsome?! I love this picture. I could go on and on about Logan. First of all, Logan is handsome with a capitol H! I love his big brown eyes and I love how much he loves his mommy. He is always making sure to give me hugs, tell me he loves me and is constantly walking in a room and gives me a little scratch on my back. I was thinking today what it will be like when he is a grown man and hopefully still doing those things.  A funny fact about Logan : he gets very concerned about funny things. Once he gets his mind wandering it is hard for him to slow it down. HE IS SOOOO MUCH LIKE ME THAT WAY. His recent concern has been our house flooding and wondering if we will be okay. :)

                                            MY HANDSOME FUTURE MISSIONARIES!

While we had Rachael here I asked her to take some family pictures of us. Of course, she did a wonderful job and we love her for her hard work!

These next few months are going to be an adventure. I just keep telling myself and Drew that we are making memories! Wherever we go or wherever we live, I am sooo happy because I have Drew and my kids with me.  Homeless or not! :)

May 2011

This month has been so busy already! McKenzie had a dance competition last weekend and her recital last night. It has been a very fun season of competitions and Dance Addiction has done so awesome! I have loved being able to spend so much time with Kenzie and strengthen our relationship. I sure love that girl and I REALLY REALLY love to watch her dance.

Tate turns 5!

Tate had a great birthday this year... I think he did anyways! He was pretty pleased with his birthday cake! We always give Tate a hard time because he has goofy smiles, but those smiles definitely fit his personality. Drew stayed home from work on the day of his birthday and we took him to lunch at McDonalds. When we were ordering his lunch he said "Can I get a 6 piece chicken nugget now that I am 5?" So funny and so we figured he could graduate to the Mighty Kid's Meal. :)

That cake sure tasted good... marble cake! :)

Holden won't ever smile for me when I Have a camera looking at him. Drew was getting some good smiles out of him though!
Oh Chayse... what would we do without you?!?!
I love it when the kids get Holden to smile.
Look at those eyes... I just LOVE them!
I promise his hair is growing back... can you see it?!?!
I always tell McKenzie how beautiful her eyes are. I was messing around with her at dance and took a picture of them. Oh man, I wish I had her eyes!
Kenzie has started competitions this year and March has been very busy so far! She is so beautiful in her costumes and with her makeup done. She was giving me this look because I forgot her lipstick at home! :) I do LOVE the time I get to spend with just McKenzie this time of year!

Lately....

Holden is getting so big. I can't believe he is already 3 months old! He is so happy and has been very healthy! I am so grateful for that! Little Buster is starting to smile more and has the happiest eyes! I am pretty sure he is going to have brown eyes, which I WOULD LOVE!!! Last time he was weighed he is checking in at 10 lbs 1 oz. That is nearly double his birth weight so I think that is pretty great! The kids are doing great with him. Kenzie is a pro at making bottles and helping out. Logan and Tate just love to kiss and squeeze him. Chayse never leaves him alone! :) I love my happy baby boy!

Happy Birthday Chayse!

We have a busy couple of weeks at our house with Chayse, Tate and Me celebrating our birthdays within a week. I made a goal to start new traditions this year. One of which is to make the kids birthday cakes. I thought it would be fun for them to pick out what they wanted and Chayse chose the gumball machine. She was so funny on her birthday. I can't say the last 3 years with that girl has gone by fast, but we do enjoy every minute of her being in our family! She keeps us on our toes and is continually teaching me patience!!! We love our Tilly!

I LOVE this picture!

I was going through some old pictures looking at my baby boys to see who Holden looks like. I came across this picture of Tate as a newborn and Logan at age 3. I just couldn't resist. Logan was so small and chubby and cute. I love it how little kids can't quite figure out how to smile when they are 3! :)

Lips to Hips

My sisters and I slightly enjoy eating. I think it is safe to say it is what we think about 24/7. We love to decorate also... so we thought in our own fun we'd start a blog together to have an easy way of telling eachother of our latest creations, or sharing recipes etc. We've been having such a good time with it that we decided to share with anyone else who may want to check it out. There is a lot of humor you may not understand, but if you have a ever so slightly sarcastic dirty mind, you will fit right in! :) I love my sisters. With all of my heart.

Blessing Day!

In my true form I didn't take any pictures of Holden or of the family that came for his blessing. I forget these things when I am stressing out about things. I knew I better get a picture of him quick because with how big he's getting it won't fit long!

Drew and I decided that we wanted to keep things very simple and low key so we just had his family over and my sister and Jeremy. We had so much fun! Grant and Lyndi came up for the weekend too which was so nice! It is amazing how loved Holden is. When I look at him I just don't know how we ever had a life without him.

Holden wore the same outfit that Drew and Logan wore to be blessed in. (Tate was too big for it) He is so handsome and special.

2 months!

We can't believe Holden (AKA Holdy Bear or Buster) has already FLOWN by! He is still such a sweet baby and very content with life. At his 2 month check up he weighed in at 9lbs 8 oz. and was 21.5 inches. He's starting to get a little chub on his legs and is just as handsome as ever!

January 2011

January was a busy month for us. With school, work, new baby schedule and a little trip to Utah we were going going going all month it seemed. We headed down to Utah to visit my sister and Jeremy and had a great time! We went to the dinosaur museum, temple square and as my mom said "we ate our way around Utah!" I think Drew ate in and out at least 5 times. :) I think my favorite part of the weekend was the fact that Tate forgot his jeans at home and had to wear his Christmas pajamas everywhere we went until I broke down and bought him a pair. What a handsome boy!!

!

I love her face in this picture!
