This past weekend Logan had his first wrestling tournament. It was so fun to see him get so nervous and so excited at the same time. I went and bought him his wrestling shoes on Friday and he was all set. It really boosted his self confidence having those shoes... even ask him! :) He called Drew at work at least 5 times telling him "I'm nervous dad" or "I am worried what the tournament will look like" It was very cute.
He wrestled in the folkstyle and freestyle rounds and did so FANTASTIC. He got a gold medal in the folkstyle and and a silver in freestyle. He is an awesome wrestler and really went out there and had a great time and did his very best. It was funny to see him on the mat because there were other kids getting themselves all pumped up and he just stood there with this look on his face like "Okay let's go here..." It was great. I was trying not to be one of those mothers who screams and yells, but I just couldn't help myself!!! I was cheering for him and just so proud of my little guy! He really has overcome a lot of shyness and insecurities since he started wrestling last fall. Even his coaches came up to me and said that he did so awesome and is going to be a great wrestler if he keeps this up! Hooray for Logan!

Haha, at least he doesn't have to wear spandex yet, that may make him a little bit shy again!

This made me cry! He is such a sweet boy. I love seeing him break free of that and have fun. I love Logan so much because he always acts tough, but he loves to cuddle up on you and act like he hates it. He makes me so proud!

Oh my gosh, how adorable! Brett heard that Logan was wrestling and he's wanting to put Austin in next year. Sounds like lots of fun. Way to go, Logan!!!

That's awesome!!! Wrestling is so fun to watch! I'm one of those moms too! Brenten is going to NC State champoinships tomorrow. He loves to wrestle!
Oh Lisa we're so proud of him! What a stud. We'd love to go to his matches one of these days and one of Kenzie's dance recitals! We miss you guys! Hopefully we'll get to see you all soon!
