Round 2

Chayse had to get her tubes replaced because the ones she got put in got plugged and were no longer serving their purpose.... only after about a month. It has been a REAL pain and I have been very frustrated with the whole situation. However, she went in yesterday and did fantastic. Even better than the first time. They gave her a some sort of drug after the procedure to help calm her down and it was so nice. The nurse carried her to our room and she just snoozed on my lap and was calm and quiet until we got to leave. After the drugs wore off she was back to being our giggling, jabber walky little TILLY MONSTER!!!

She was so funny while we were waiting! she was so curious as to what was going on out in the hallway but WOULD not step past the door. She is a doll!

Cute pictures!

Just a cute picture of Chayse. She is a full time walker EVERYWHERE and into EVERYTHING!! She is so fun to take pictures of because she is just so darn cute!

McKenzie had her first dance competition on Saturday and it was a lot of fun! She did a great job and was so cute! After her first dance she was so excited and said "I did awesome mom" I am so glad she is having a good time with it. They won all sorts of awards and she even got a trophy. Logan was pretty upset about that... he wants a trophy SO BAD!! :) She was so excited to have everyone there watching her and we were so glad Grandma and Anna could come!

And the other night I found the boys laying together in my bed watching Nacho Libre! I was trying to get a good shot of them because if Drew laughed then Tate and Logan would laugh hysterically like they knew what was going on. It was so cute. Drew is such a good dad and his boys sure love him!

Wrestling

This past weekend Logan had his first wrestling tournament. It was so fun to see him get so nervous and so excited at the same time. I went and bought him his wrestling shoes on Friday and he was all set. It really boosted his self confidence having those shoes... even ask him! :) He called Drew at work at least 5 times telling him "I'm nervous dad" or "I am worried what the tournament will look like" It was very cute.

He wrestled in the folkstyle and freestyle rounds and did so FANTASTIC. He got a gold medal in the folkstyle and and a silver in freestyle. He is an awesome wrestler and really went out there and had a great time and did his very best. It was funny to see him on the mat because there were other kids getting themselves all pumped up and he just stood there with this look on his face like "Okay let's go here..." It was great. I was trying not to be one of those mothers who screams and yells, but I just couldn't help myself!!! I was cheering for him and just so proud of my little guy! He really has overcome a lot of shyness and insecurities since he started wrestling last fall. Even his coaches came up to me and said that he did so awesome and is going to be a great wrestler if he keeps this up! Hooray for Logan!

Birthdays

Over the years I have seen many of my friends decorate their children's birthday cakes fabulously and have always been very jealous. Well this year I decided that it would be fun to make a cake for Chayse and Tate. I got some good coaching from Melissa and all the tools I needed. I don't think I did that bad of a job for my first try! It is very addicting though and for my birthday Melissa got me an entire cake decorating kit so now I need someone to have a party so I can make a cake!

I was NOT feeling so hot on my birthday so we just went to Drew's parents so they could wait on us... true birthday fashion! Chayse was HYSTERICAL with her cake. She just picked up that piece of cake and went to town with it. She is starting to hate anything that confines her and she was trying to crawl out of her high chair as soon as she was done making a huge mess.

Tate was grumpy... imagine that... and kept yelling at everyone about getting near his cake or touching him or being in his spot etc etc etc. Eventually he blew out his candles and was lucky enough that Grandma gave him a birthday hair cut. (He used some scissors to his own hair and made some really sweet looking zig zags.)

All in all the day was great. Having 3 birthdays all in 1 week is pretty exciting and I imagine as the kids get older it will only get more crazy and more expensive!!

Dance Addiction!

McKenzie had her first dance experience for her competition team this past weekend! It was so fun to get her all dressed up and to see how excited she was to do this. I could tell she was very very nervous, but I thought she did fantastic. I was so proud of her for doing her very best and having such a good attitude. She has come so far this year and her teachers are so incredible. We just love them and they are so great with Kenzie and with me. I am a little nervous and ridiculous mom sometimes! :)

Her teachers created a great routine to a medley of songs revolving around SHAKE IT. There is a lot of shakin of the booties and it is adorable. McKenzie doesn't have much rythym like her father but she is working hard and I think she had improved a TON this year. I definately saw a fire ignite in her after she danced. She wanted to keep dancing and dancing and dancing! We love our Kenzie bug and love how beautiful and funny and talented she is!!
