Happy Birthday Chayse!

Chayse celebrated her 1st birthday on Sunday the 22nd. We haven't had her party yet, but when we do i am sure she will make a huge disaster with it, which will make for some GREAT pictures. When I look back on the last year, I can't help but be filled with gratitude for all of my blessings. First of all Chayse herself! Not that I ever felt she wouldn't make it, but it was a scary time for me and Drew. Looking at her an entire year later you never would have known we went through so much to get her here. She is a little fire cracker! She is starting to take steps (4 today!!!) and says Ma-Ma and Uh-Oh. The time truly has gone too fast! Drew has been the greatest! I could never ask for a BETTER husband. When I am on over load he always takes over and since having broken my arm he has been AMAZING. Maybe a little too great because I hold him to a higher standard. I am proud to announce he did the dishes for the first time... probably EVER! I have woken up numerous mornings to laundry going in the wash and clothes being dried in the dryer and he even got up with Chayse every night for an entire week! Not that I enjoyed being slightly handicapped, but I sure have loved the little extra things being done to make my day easier! :) I couldn't have survived many things in my life this past year if it weren't for Drew and the knowledge I have we will be together FOREVER!!! Lucky me!!!We had a great opportunity to head to Utah this past weekend to see Bradys new baby Natalie. W hat a doll she is!!! It was so fun to hold a little teeny tiny baby and to see the proud new parents so excited to finally have her! We just adore Brady and Rachael and can't wait for the new adventures in their life coming up shortly and for a CUTE CUTE CUTE little neice! Brady was kind enough to test out their new baby gadgets on Chayse. I think she really did enjoy the "closeness" Brady! :)

And FINALLY I have been hesitating to post because we all know how fickle I am when it comes to dogs. I'll admit it... we've had 6. Lost some due to me and others not because of me (I just wanted to clarify) I want my family to be a dog family. It is some weird NEED I have. I get a dog... it's so cute for a day or two and then I get annoyed with the extra things I have to go everyday to care for it! Well, I broke down again and got JACK! I am publicly announcing if this doesn't work out I will never get another dog. SOMEONE REMIND ME EVERY NOW AND THEN THOUGH!!! Anyways, he is a very good dog. He doesn't bark. He loves to be loved. He is house broken and kennel trained. The kids really do like him and have done great taking care of him, so we will see if he can win over Drew's heart. As of today I don't think he is convinced!

Great post Lis! And so well written! Little Chayse, one year? Man I can't believe how fast she is growing up and without her auntie Bonnie to spoil her too!

The dog is so cute...he looks like a Jack and I think he seems like a keeper!! :)

I am glad Drew is being so helpful! You two are lucky to have each other and have always been such a cute couple!!

Miss ya and love ya!

Happy Birthday sweet little Chayse! She is such a doll and I hope she enjoys celebrating her first birthday. Where has the time gone? This year has flown! I know how you feel as well because next month, Mia will be one. I cannot believe that.

Hope your arm is feeling better and good luck with the dog. Take care.

hahahaahahahaha.... I try to remind you all the time that you are a dog killer, but you don't get it! Jack is cute, and i'm glad that's the only name you guys choose for pets (your horse!!) But seeing Jack really makes me miss Molly. I know everyone hated that dog, but I loved her.

I can't believe Chaysee Girl is a year old! And I am even happier I remembered her birthday. :) When I come up there I will give you her present. And of course the rest of my babies, all of whom I miss.. TOO MUCH!!!

And i'm glad Drew is finally trained. You make me so proud! :D
