One Month

Time is going by way too fast. I can't believe Holden is already a month old! He is quite possibly the best baby there ever was. He seriously NEVER cries. It is very strange for us to have this little content person. Our babies have just never been very "good". Everyday he is changing and growing and we still are just so in love!!!!

Drew has been working so many hours lately because of all the snow we've been getting and of course Logan goes with him any chance he gets. I walked in the room and found the two of them just playing with Holden. It was so cute. IF only Tate had been there too!

10 DAYS!

How is it that ten days can feel like an eternity? It is pretty easy, Especially when you sit for hours on end watching your little baby breathe and sleep. Thank you thank you to my great mom and mother in law who helped out tremendously over the last 2 weeks. We wouldn't have survived otherwise.

So here is his story. The shortened version! :) I tried REALLY REALLY hard to convince Drew to stay home from work on Sat. the 27th. It couldn't be done because he had so much to do before the baby was born. We always figured he'd come early and getting to 35 weeks was AWESOME so we knew it would likely be anytime.

About 5:30 that night I talked to Drew and then his mom. Things were fine. No contractions. No labor. Just sitting watching TV and BORED! About 6pm I got up to use the restroom and I began to bleed very heavy. After freaking out I called my Dr. He said come to the hospital ASAP! I called Drew. NO ANSWER. I called Patty. NO ANSWER. I called Rhonda, Bridgett, Karin, Mandy, Tammie... NO ANSWER. I had Tate and Chayse with me and they were in dress up clothes. I knew I probably shouldn't take them to the hospital and I knew I had to get going fast. So I got in the car, headed to Bridgett's. Saw a light on... threw the kids out of the car and was on my way.

When I was half way to the hospital Drew called me back and he said he'd get there are soon as possible. Long story short... I love my Dr. He was incredible with me. Mandy was awesome answering my phone and staying in touch with Drew and Patty. I had an emergency c-section and was put all the way out to have it done so I remember NOTHING of Holden's actual birth. The next thing I remembered was waking up about 9pm and finally seeing Drew. He got to the hospital about a half hour after Holden was born so he was getting filled in on everything that happened. It was quite the adventure and now we have a beautiful baby boy that we have waited so long to meet!

Our stay in the NICU was mostly pleasant. My Dr took such good care of both of us while I was pregnant and took every precaution for preterm birth that I know Holden did so much better because of it. The nurses up there are fantastic. It is NEVER easy to leave your little baby behind when you go home at night but I knew he was being well taken care of.

We are so excited to have him home. He is right where he belongs!

We've been busy!

This past month has been great! Busy! Busy! Busy! We had the chance to go to Washington before school started to visit Brady, Rachael and Natalie for a few days! It was SOOOO fun. I LOVE THEM!!! :) The kids had the most fun playing with Brady's big box of Lego's and Natalie of course. I am pretty sure everyone fought over who loves her more. Logan usually won the fight! HE LOVES NATALIE. He's so sweet and cute with her.

School started the day after we got home and the kids have been non stop since then. McKenzie started dance, Logan did flag football, Tate started preschool, Chayse got a BIG GIRL bed, Drew has worked non stop, I am getting H.U.G.E with a capitol H.U.G.E!!!!!!! McKenzie's school does a cheer camp and then the little girls get to cheer at the football game. She had a blast and was most excited because she got to be a "flyer" (I think that is what she called it) If you look close she is the little cutie pants in the middle formation FLYING in the sky. Arms up and all!

We're so lucky to have such cute, energetic kids!

My little beauties!

My sweet wonderful friend took some great pictures of my kids a few weeks ago. Thanks BONNIE. You are awesome! My little munchkins have trouble figuring out their smiles. I sure hope someday they will get their eyes and smiles working together! :)

I've been MIA...taking it easy...being a hermit...staying OUT OF TOUCH with reality and obviously blogging. The kids start school next Wed. and we ALL couldn't be happier! :) My kids have spent the summer playing in their dirt spot. It is actually the only spot they play in in our backyard because it is the only spot there is a tree big enough to give a little shade. :) Poor kids. They are neglected.

Whether or not we've done anything very exciting I still feel like I have pretty darn cute kids. McKenzie (not pictured in this round) got her hair cut today! After months and months and months of wanting to grow it out, she told Rhonda to chop it off. Luckily we were able to compromise with something that looks a little too grown up for my taste. I would prefer to keep her little forever. If she gets old that means all my other kids are getting old and I just can't keep replacing the babies in this family. :)

And here is the reason for my funk... We think he is pretty darn cute and already waving. If you didn't notice it is a HE! Hopefully making an appearance in December.

She's crazy!

I do have other kids... she just is usually around when I have the camera ready. Chayse is wild and crazy. Those two adjectives are actually an understatement!!! Chayse is 2 1/2 and talking so well. One of our favorite things about Chayse is when she wakes up in the morning and screams "I'm AWAKE" It is so cute. We've had a busy and fun summer with dance and friends and playing night and day. Only a few more weeks left of freedom!

Logan

This boy (who I do believe it the most handsome boy in the whole world- along with my orange haired son) has left me. Every day in fact for the past 3 weeks. It is disturbing to me actually. I kind of miss the little kid. For some reason he thinks that going to work with his dad sounds more fun than sitting at home and cuddling his mom on the couch. Drew and Logan worked out a deal... $1 a day. It's a pretty steep price to pay, but I think we can handle it! :)

Logan lost a tooth last week, the day Anna got married. He was quite hysterical! He thought he would look so dumb without that tooth and so he let it hang and look quite nasty. Drew gave him two choices... pull it out now or your mom is going to sit on you and do it herself. (I do have a love for pulling out teeth... I assume it's from being a dental assistant for the past 7 years... or it could be I just enjoy torture?) So, he lost his tooth- and then lost his tooth again. He has no idea where it went. That night he put a note under his pillow that read "I accidently lost my tooth. Please leave money anyways" He got 87 cents! :)

Logan is mostly a tease and likes to bug people, but he is also a VERY loving and helpful little boy. Just ask Brady and Rachael. Natalie wasn't going anywhere she wasn't supposed to with Logan around! We sure love our brown eyed boy!

I love these pictures. My girls are quite the girly girls! Chayse will do anything McKenzie tells her too and McKenzie just really adore Chayse and loves to play with her. I don't think I've ever heard her complain once about taking care of her sister or when she is asked to help out. I just love these girls!

It was too Quiet!

Chayse and I have a "thing". She stands on my toilet next to me every morning while I do my hair and make up. I thought this was so cute and even mentioned to Drew on several occasions that I love this. I love that we have a "thing"! Well my attitude has quickly changed because chayse now thinks that my makeup is her makeup to get into whenever she wants. I hide it and she finds it! She is a sneaky little devil that way. IN the past two weeks she has opened child proof containers on several occasions. She has dumped out soap, written on walls, torn apart books, spilled anything and everything possible on my floors, and tonight was her all time low! I am being tortured and was asked to speak in sacrament on Sunday... ON MOTHER'S DAY! What a mean gift! :) Anyways, tonight I was writing my talk and drew mentioned it was eerily quiet. We walked into the bathroom and there was Chayse... brand new foundation EVERYWHERE. She just grinned and giggled and I TRIED SO HARD NOT TO YELL!!! IN my most not yelling but really annoyed voice I said "CHAYSE DO WE PLAY WITH MOMMIES MAKEUP?" Her reply was "Yesth" (she does have a lisp! say it accordingly to get the full effect!) How could I get mad at that?? So happy mother's day to me... I'll liking be getting some new makeup!
